Scubaspa Yang, together with her sister yacht Scubaspa Ying, represents a unique concept among Maldivian liveaboards. Inspired by their own travels, the founders, a couple: a husband, a passionate diver, and his wife, a physiotherapist, designed the yacht around the interests of both dedicated divers and their non-diving partners. Diving, wellness, island excursions and relaxed life on board are woven naturally into each itinerary, allowing every guest to enjoy the Maldives in their own way while sharing the journey. This unique feature is often highlighted by the clients of the Maldivian Charter Club.
Although launched in 2014, a year after Scubaspa Ying, Scubaspa Yang follows the same pioneering vision that transformed the traditional dive safari. Inspired by the idea of creating a liveaboard equally appealing to divers and non-divers, she offers an experience where guests can spend the day exploring vibrant coral reefs before unwinding with spa treatments, yoga, or simply enjoying the tranquillity of the Indian Ocean.
Measuring 50 metres in length, Scubaspa Yang provides generous living spaces rarely found on liveaboards in the Maldives. She accommodates up to 40 guests in elegantly appointed cabins and suites, all featuring en-suite bathrooms, individually controlled air conditioning and contemporary furnishings. Spacious indoor lounges, open-air relaxation areas, multiple sun decks and inviting social spaces create an atmosphere that is both sophisticated and welcoming, ensuring plenty of room for everyone on board.
Diving remains a key part of every Scubaspa Yang cruise. Guests explore some of the Maldives' most spectacular reefs and channels through a programme of up to four guided dives per day, including night dives on selected itineraries. All diving activities are conducted from a dedicated, fully equipped dive boat, allowing the mother vessel to remain a quiet and comfortable retreat throughout the day.
What truly distinguishes Scubaspa Yang is the emphasis placed on wellness. Her expansive spa, covering around 300 square metres, is one of the largest ever incorporated into a liveaboard. Professional therapists offer an extensive selection of treatments, complemented by yoga sessions, wellness programmes and peaceful open-air treatment areas that bring the ambience of a luxury island resort to life at sea.
Life aboard Scubaspa Yang extends well beyond diving and spa experiences. Guests enjoy varied international cuisine, themed dinners, beach barbecues on secluded sandbanks and attentive service from a crew known for creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. From sunrise coffee before the first dive to sunset cocktails on deck, every detail contributes to a memorable voyage.
Scubaspa Yang is an excellent choice for divers travelling with non-diving partners, couples, honeymooners and anyone seeking a liveaboard that combines exceptional diving with first-class comfort, wellness and personalised service throughout the journey.
