Princess Ulua is a modern liveaboard, built in 2019, featuring a traditional wooden hull measuring 37 × 10 meters. Stable and reliable, she cruises at a speed of up to 12 knots and has been tested by Maldivian monsoons and the unpredictable currents of the Indian Ocean.

The 2025 refit of Princess Ulua also transformed her cabins. She now offers 11 cabins accommodating up to 22 guests. Each cabin has been given a distinctive name inspired by marine life: from familiar ones like Manta and Dolphin to rarer species such as Dogtooth Tuna, Napoleon fish, and Sailfish. At the bow of the main deck, a new double Whaleshark Suite has been added, featuring captivating ocean views. The updated cabins are spacious, with large beds and flexible configurations for double or twin occupancy; family cabins include both double and single beds on the same level. Cabins aboard Princess Ulua are cozy and bright, fully air-conditioned and with en-suite bathrooms; warm interiors with natural wood, soft lighting, minimal clutter, and maximum tranquility after an active day underwater.

The social spaces on Princess Ulua are open and inviting: sun-drenched decks for relaxation, shaded lounge areas with sofas, and a communal table where barriers between people quickly fade. The top deck is reserved for  sunsets, conversations, and nights under the stars.

At the heart of Princess Ulua is diving, with a full onboard infrastructure including compressors, tanks, and well-organized preparation areas, all supported by the dedicated dive dhoni, Ulua Hunter. Routes cover the central Maldivian atolls – Malé, Ari, Vaavu – as well as Deep South regions with fewer boats and a stronger sense of untouched nature, where encounters with manta rays, whale sharks, reef sharks, turtles, and vast schools of fish become part of the daily rhythm rather than rare events.

On Princess Ulua, it’s easy to be yourself: walk barefoot, laugh loudly, sit in silence, share stories, or simply watch the water. The atmosphere is that of a small community, where strangers quickly become something close to friends.

A dive safari on Princess Ulua suits divers of all levels, from confident beginners to experienced enthusiasts, as well as groups of friends, couples seeking a shared adventure, and solo travelers looking not for solitude but for like-minded people. It’s ideal for those tired of sterile hotels and eager to experience the true life of the ocean.

Guests of Maldivian Charter Club who have sailed on Princess Ulua consistently praise the onboard atmosphere and the professionalism of the crew.

A safari on Princess Ulua leaves you with the feeling that you’ve returned not from a vacation, but from a true journey – one filled with silence and adrenaline, and with a kind of beauty impossible to recreate on land. It created your desire to return, again and again, because once you’ve seen the Maldives from within – through the depth, light, and stillness of the water – you won’t forget it.
