We propose you a diving cruise off the traditional diving routes in Maldives.
The route is unique and out of all the usual circuits. The quality of the dives is extraordinary. The amount of life (schools of jacks, schools of sharks and other pelagics, whale shark at night, mantas, tiger shark, mola mola, sailfish …), the quality and exuberance of the reefs, thilas with corals like the Maldives 25 years ago, the British Royalty (the largest wreck in Maldives), turn the route into the best of Maldives!
Itinerary
Day 1 Saturday: MALE AIRPORT – Arrival to MALE atoll- Cruise South Hemisphere (down): Arrival at Male airport. Inmigration procedures. Luggage collecting. Transfer in dhoni to MALDIVES BLUE FORCE ONE. Assignment of cabins, briefing about the boat, diving, itinerary … and beginning of the cruise.
Day 2 to 7 Sunday to Friday: Diving in Laamu, Gaafu, Foamulah and Addu. 3 dives each day, with 1 or 2 night dives a week. Depending on the diving conditions, the number of daily dives could be modified, guaranteeing a total of 18 dives per week.
Visits to islands in the afternoon (if there is no scheduled night dive). After dinner various activities in common or simply relax on board, games, movies, karaoke, jacuzzi.
Last day arrival and anchor in the Gan or Gaaf atoll, clarification of material, relax on board, summary photosub and videosub of the week after dinner.
8th Saturday: Kooddoo. During the morning disembark and domestic flight to Male (Schedule to be determined), Arrival at Male airport. Depending on the schedule of the flights, there may be time to visit Male, the capital and latest shoppings. (Optional possibility of day hotel at Male airport).

Luggage collecting. Check for the flight from Male to Kooddo. (Timetable will be confirmed). Arrival to Kooddo, baggage claim and transfer to MALDIVES BLUE FORCE ONE by dhoni. Allocation of cabins, briefing about the boat, dive, itinerary… and start of the cruise.

NOTE: This routes are only suitable for trained divers, dive sites are known for the very strong current and dives can be quite hard. So, we require at least 100 logged dives.
CENTRAL ATOLLS CLASSIC ROUTE
7 nights, EMBARKATION - Male, DISEMBARKATION - Male
Central Atolls Classical route is our weekly usual route and we do almost all year long from August to January and April and May. This is the best well-known route in Maldives but at the same time the one that offers best and most varied dives. Thanks to that, we know every detail, atoll, passage, thilas and where and when it is convenient to approach every dive zone. It is a 7-night route including 6-dive days on board with embark and disembark at Male Airport (18 dives with 2-night dives).
Some dives will be done amongst the channels that are between the islands and there can be strong currents. We will do some dives to more than 20 meters. So, we recommend to be advanced or be an experienced diver. It is recommended to dive with Nitrox for which it will be compulsory to be Nitrox certified diver. Diving computer, buoy, reef hook and torch for night dives are compulsory to carry with you.
Desert islands and typical fishermen villages are also visited to discover and enjoy a bit more of the country and if the weather allows doing so we will even dine on a desert beach.
Although if you are looking for relax, you can enjoy the solarium and 2 Jacuzzis on board, kayak, Paddle SUP…
All this will make this cruise an excellent and unforgettable Great Dive Travel.
The normal itinerary goes by North and South Male Atolls, Vaavu and Ari.

Day 1 (Saturday): ARRIVAL TO MALE – EMBARK Arrival to Male. One of our staff members will be waiting for you at Male Airport. You will then get onto our auxiliary boat Dhoni for the transfer to MALDIVES BLUE FORCE ONE for check in, briefing of the liveaboard, diving and plan itinerary. Dinner onboard.
Day 2 to 7 (Sunday to Friday): CENTRAL ATOLLS CLASSICAL ROUTE. The route will go through North and South Male Atolls, Vaavu and Ari. Dive program for certified divers including day dives, night dives and snorkel with Whale shark. For non-divers we will offer different activities such as snorkel, kayak, paddel SUP… If the weather, climatology and logistic allow, we will visit desert islands and fisherman villages.
On Friday afternoon we will anchorage next to Male. So, we will make a guided visit to Male.
Day 8 (Saturday): MALE AIRPORT. Disembark at Male Airport at 07.00 am. Possibility to take a “day hotel” next to the airport (It does not include room but swimming pool, cloakrooms, baggage rooms and food). Free time to visit Male.

MALDIVES MANTA EXPEDITION
8 nights - August 9, 2019, EMBARKATION - Male, DISEMBARKATION - Male
The atolls in North Male and South Male are viewed on this route. There, the first mantas cleaning stations and some thilas are visited for shark watching, both in Kandooma and Guraidhoo. On the Ari Atoll, go in search of the whale shark and dive with mantas by night. Then, dive in Rasdoo, where pelagic species are awaiting. In Goidoo, make an oceanic dive and to complete the cruise lead to the North up to Baa, in the Dharavandhoo area, next to Hanifaru Bay, dedicate to enjoy snorkelling with mantas before returning back to Male.
Extending the cruise up to 10 days (2 more than the usual) will allow us to combine a large deal of the classical route, which is the best known in Maldives, with the Baa Atoll in the North of the central area.

The planned route goes over the North Male, South Male, Ari, Rasdhoo & Baa atolls. During the cruise a 20-dive programm for certified divers is developed (day and night dives & snorkeling in Hanifaru Bay) together with visits to pristine beaches and inhabited islands, snorkelling for non-divers, Kayak, paddle SUP.
Day 9: August 17, 2019: MALE
Disembark at the airport at 7.00 am. Optional day hotel booking (room not included. Includes shower, pool and lunch). Depending on the scheduled flight booking, free time to visit Male, the Capital of Maldives.

Are you ready to take the step towards the aim of understanding the world of underwater photography and learning Rafael Fernandez’s tips to take better pictures?
Go on board the Maldives Blue Force One to make the Central Atolls route and throughout the cruise you will be helped and adviced by Rafael Fernández Caballero, who will show you everything you need, from basic concepts to understand the most complex tricks to the latest techniques to take original photos and go beyond the limitations of your camera by editing them.
Rafael Fdez. Jr is the current World and European Champion of underwater photography. He has won several awards in national and international photography competitions since 2012. He has been diving since he was a little child. This young man has devoted all his free time to travelling to different places, camera in hand, getting the most of every destination. All those trips have let him take lots of incredible photographs which he has used afterwards to take part in championships and even to be published in several magazines.
During this cruise will take place this interesting Underwater Photography Workshop. It is aimed to all different levels. In his scheduled daily talks and photo reviews Rafa will show not only the basic concepts of photography and photography composition but also his personal knacks and the techniques he used in his championships. Besides, you will get familiar with a more artistic vision of underwater photography.
Thanks to living together, practicing and commenting on many different pictures, you will be able to learn in a quick, simple, pleasant and personalized way. And as we said before, learning to get over the limitations of the camera by using photography editing tools will be another aim of the workshop.
To sum up, this workshop will not only give you the opportunity to take pictures which are more than a simple souvenir, but it will give you the opportunity to take meaningful and impressive shots.

UNDERWATER PHOTO WORKSHOP WITH JUANJO SAEZ

Juanjo Sáez is a renowned and highly respected professional in photosub and director in KANAU, a shop specialising in underwater images since 1986. Juanjo trains workshops in collaboration with OLYMPUS, using the program designed for the OM-D cameras. You will also be able to try some of the best models with their underwater housings whilst onboard.
During this cruise a practical workshop will be developed where techniques will be explored for underwater environments, as well as topside environments with models and advertising photography.
Juanjo will give daily lectures and will be available to share his knowledge and comment on images by the participants, in order to improve their results.
A fantastic opportunity of spending a week long safari with a highly accomplished photographer, who will offer comprehensive theory and practice workshops.
As well as sharing ones experiences with a group of fellow photographers will allow your photosub results to improve considerably.

A Liveaboard where a part from enjoying the best diving sites in Maldives onboard Maldives Blue Force One, you will learn all you want to know about these marvelous animals and how you can contribute to the conservation, with the help of our oceanographer specialist in sharks. She will share with all of you her experience with different types of sharks all over the world and she will give an amazing workshop during the trip.
During this week there will be several information talks and workshops from the origin and general biology of the sharks and their importance in the oceans. You will learn to detect different types of sharks when you are diving, identify males and females and know the scientific investigation all over the world. You could also participate in the photoidentification of the sharks during the dives, take your own photos if you carry your camera, take videos and once we finish diving we will study them. Recognize the sharks behavior, understand the corporal language and live with them underwater will be different things you will also learn.
