Kurumba Maldives is the first private resort to emerge in the Maldives. All villas are located on the coast, surrounded by tropical greenery. Its calling card is numerous coconut palms, after which it was named. Kurumba means "young coconut" in translation. Local attractions include a nursery with exotic orchids and a house reef.
The hotel is primarily suited to guests who value close transfers - it's only a 10-minute boat ride from Male Airport. The location near the airport dictates certain peculiarities, such as views of neighboring islands, particularly Male, as well as seaplanes flying over the island. Despite this, the resort is in high demand most of the time.
The hotel team hosts wine tastings and a jazz concert performance at sunset. The Thila restaurant is among the best in the Maldives.
Unlike many resorts, you can always bring heeled shoes at Kurumba as there are paved walkways.
This is also very convenient for families with small children, who find it important to be able to move around comfortably with a stroller.
