Booking Terms & Conditions

Payment Policy

• Individuals: A 20% deposit is required within two weeks of booking. The full balance must be paid 90 days before the departure date.
• Groups (half ship or larger): A $1500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is needed within 14 days of booking, along with the signed agreement. An additional $3500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is due nine months before departure. 20% of the total cost is required six months before departure. The final payment is due 90 days prior to departure.
• Single Supplement Spaces: Must be confirmed at least 90 days before departure.

Methods of Payment

• Payments can be processed via check, electronic check (eCheck), ACH, wire transfer, PayPal, credit card. For reservations confirmed within 90 days of the departure date, full payment is required through eCheck, ACH, credit card or PayPal. International wire transfers may take up to 4 days.
• For bookings made less than 7 days before departure, payments should be made via credit card, wire transfer, ACH, or PayPal.

Additional Payment Information

• PayPal and credit cards: can be used for group deposits and individual non-commissionable bookings only; in all other cases a 3% surcharge applies.
• Payment Reference: Please refer to the confirmation number on your invoice when making any payment.
• Reservation Amendments: Any changes to your reservation must be submitted in writing.
• Pricing Flexibility: Be aware that prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Cancellation Policy

Individuals:

• If cancelled more than 91 days before departure, 20% of the net rate is forfeited.
• If cancelled 90 days or less before departure, the entire rate is forfeited, without refund.

Groups (half group or larger):

• If cancelled more than nine months before departure, the $1500 deposit can be transferred to a new booking, valid for one year from the cancellation date. If not transferred, it is forfeited.
• If cancelled between nine months and 181 days before departure, the $5000 deposit is forfeited.
• If cancelled between 180 and 91 days before departure, 20% of the group rate is forfeited.
• If cancelled 90 days or less before departure, the entire group rate is forfeited, without refund.

Group Size Reduction:

• If reduced to more than nine months before departure, it can go down to one paying person, affecting free spaces.
• If reduced between nine months and 181 days before departure, 20% per cancelled passenger is forfeited, affecting free spaces.
• If reduced to between 180 and 91 days before departure, the same conditions apply.
• If reduced 90 days or less before departure, 100% per cancelled passenger is forfeited, affecting free spaces.

Additional Charges

Spirit Liveaboards reserves the right to apply additional charges due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to new or increased port and park fees, government or tourist taxes, and fuel price hikes. These charges may apply to both existing and new bookings at the discretion of Spirit Liveaboards and are not included in the published fares.

No-Show and Unused Travel

Guests who fail to board or check-in before departure, or who leave during a Spirit Liveaboards journey, are not entitled to refunds or future travel vouchers. Spirit Liveaboards bears no liability in such cases, and guests are responsible for their travel arrangements and costs to and from the embarkation point.

Passport, Visa, and Health Requirements

Each guest is responsible for obtaining the necessary travel documentation and vaccinations. Guests lacking proper documentation will be denied boarding or check-in without a refund. Passports must be valid for six months beyond the trip completion date and must match the name on the itinerary.

Insurance Recommendations

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, covering trip cancellation, interruption, dive accidents, medical emergencies, equipment, and baggage. It's also advisable to arrive at your destination at least a day before the start date of your trip.

Single Traveler Policy

Single travelers are accommodated in rooms with single beds and matched with a roommate of the same gender. The gender listed on the passport must match the rooming list provided to local authorities. Single guests in double-occupancy rooms may be moved to accommodate two guests traveling together.

Private Room Option: A single supplement rate, constituting 65% of the standard rate, guarantees a private room. This rate applies to promotional and special weeks. Note that for group reservations, single supplement spaces need to be finalized at least 90 days before departure.
