EcoPro Mariana

EcoPro Mariana is a 27-metre traditional-style Maldivian liveaboard with a distinctly intimate character. Built in 2005 and renovated in 2022, she accommodates a maximum of just 16 guests in nine air-conditioned cabins, creating a quieter, more personal atmosphere than larger safari boats. The renovation brought a fresh touch to her interiors while retaining the warmth of a traditional wooden vessel, and added an outdoor bar and a shaded area on the sun deck.

What makes EcoPro Mariana particularly appealing is the feeling of space and informality that comes from limiting the number of guests. The main deck has a spacious salon, bar and both indoor and outdoor dining areas, while the upper deck offers another lounge area and an open-air bar. The sun deck is designed for unhurried time between dives, with sunbeds, beanbags and a Jacuzzi. Mariana focuses on creating a comfortable, sociable environment where a small group can naturally settle into the rhythm of a liveaboard week.

EcoPro Mariana’s diving is conducted from a separate dhoni, leaving the main yacht free from tanks and equipment and giving guests a more relaxed space to return to after each dive. Nitrox is available, and the programme normally includes three dives a day, with around 16–17 dives on a seven-night itinerary. Routes range from the Central Atolls to the Deep South, depending on the season, with channel dives, thilas, wrecks, manta encounters, sharks and pelagic action among the highlights.

Maldivian Charter Club guest feedback paints a similarly warm picture of EcoPro Mariana. Divers frequently mention the knowledgeable guides, professional crew, good organisation, clean, well-maintained interiors, and varied diving.

EcoPro Mariana also reflects EcoPro Divers’ environmental approach. The operation uses reverse-osmosis water production, reusable items and biodegradable toiletries, and has worked with organisations including Parley for the Oceans and Manta Trust.

Mariana’s strongest quality is clear: she is a small, traditional Maldivian safari boat built around diving in a genuinely intimate group, with enough comfort to make the time between dives just as enjoyable as the time underwater.

EcoPro Mariana accommodates up to 16 guests in 9 cabins on two decks: Double or Twin and Single.

Lower Deck: 4 Double or twin bed cabins, 2 Single bed cabins.

Upper Deck: 2 twin bed cabins and 1 double bed cabin.

Upperdeck cabins have great ocean view, all cabins are with AC and en-suite bathrooms.
