Lankan Manta Point is a suitable place for beginners to see the sea devils.
Lankan Manta Point is a dive site that with gentle reef and several cleaning stations where dozens of manta rays come to swim from late summer to late autumn.
Look into the cracks of the reef and you will see lobsters, morays, shrimp, octopus and other marine life. Reef sharks, eagle rays, mobulas and turtles are also frequent visitors.
Lankan Manta Point is easily accessible via the Manta Madness and Best of Maldives itineraries on Emperor Voyager, Emperor Serenity, Emperor Orion and Emperor Leo. It is often the second dive site on a trip and mantas can be seen here daily from mid-August through November.
Although Lankan Manta Point is suitable for beginner divers, we recommend it to visitors with experience or training in deep sea diving. As the reef goes down to about 24 meters.
